Thanksgiving 2019 - Black Friday Deals

Happy Thanksgiving 2019! I hope everyone is spending some quality time with loved ones, either be family, friends, pets, sewing machines, knitting needles, or just some good ol’ time for oneself to re-energize. ‘Tis the season for caring and for giving. So hope you’re doing just that!
I remember when I was younger, I would love the black friday sales and would check out the newspaper to see what items were going on sale. I remember standing in line for a Nintendo Wii in the wee hours of the night. Back then, I was all about the electronics! Then on Friday, I would hit the mall and buy so many things from clothing stores because - why not, they were all on BIG sales.
How have things changed… I don’t even remember the last time I bought a piece of electronic equipment for the household. And the same thing goes for clothing… yesterday I wondered around the mall with the family, and noticed that I was not inclined to look at any clothing store at all! Nothing was catching my eye. Whenever we went into a clothing store, I would pick up an item, check how the seams were made, the fabric content, and be so disappointed at the low quality fabrics and how poorly it was sewn together. And in the back of my mind, I kept asking myself - how were these items made, in what kind of factory and how are those conditions, are the employees well taken care of, etc… putting people’s lives in danger over greed is an action I will never be able to understand, but hopefully that is all changing for the better these days (did y’all see Forever 21 filed for bankruptcy?).
Anyway, I went off on a tangent there, that’s such a much bigger discussion and today is Thanksgiving, so on to happy thoughts.
